Thomas Porstner was appointed co-managing director of REILOY Metall GmbH in Troisdorf with effect from 14.09.2009. With its subsidiary REILOY Metall GmbH, Reifenhäuser Group is the only plastics machinery manufacturer worldwide who incorporates an acknowledged expert in wear resistance. Overproportional growth and continuing expansion marked by high investments is leading now to a consistent strengthening of REILOY's top-level management. With 45 year old Dipl. Ing. Thomas Porstner, REILOY Metall GmbH has recruited a renowned expert who will especially focus on a continuation and expansion of the technical and industrial development of the company to consolidate its market leadership. He will be responsible for production, development, logistics, controlling, purchasing and human resource management. In the past, Thomas Porstner held leading management positions in various companies of the chemical and automotive industries. Among others, he has an extensive know-how in industrial engineering and process development. The division of tasks resulting from this appointment will enable Hans-Josef Manner, long-term managing director of REILOY, to concentrate even more intensively on the comprehensive tasks of marketing, on the increase of sales efficiency and on the grown customer potential. The previous dual burden has now been distributed across a work-sharing team of two leaders performing their respective key tasks. REILOY Metall GmbH, the market leader and expert in wear-resistant metal coating of screws and barrels, has an excellent reputation in the plastics machinery manufacturing industry. Initially started as an "in-house" expert, the subsidiary of the Troisdorf-based Reifenhauser group of companies has succeeded in developing into a worldwide acknowledged technology leader with a broad customer structure. In the future, the two new leaders at the top of the company will mutually continue REILOY's way forcing its market strength and focusing even more on customer orientation.
